Autumn is coming

Inspired by the current season, I designed this pattern with watercolor leaves. You can get it as a great number of products (like tote bags, phone cases, prints, mugs...) on my Society6 store.

Manners book - The patterns

I my new book, every new chapter is identified with a repeat pattern, and working on them was so much fun! Here are some of my favorites.

Eat your veggies

Another gouache and pattern experiment, this time with all kind of vegetables. The aubergine/eggplant and the radishes are my favorites.

Woods

Here's my first semi successful gouache painting, just some random forest things I painted from my head. I've found gouache to be a very fun medium, it's great to be able to make such textures and shadows, very different from my usual watercolor paintings. I decided to make it into a repeat pattern, wouldn't it look nice printed on fabric? I'd like some pillows with it :D

Brigitte

Remember this post about my illustration process? Last week I got samples of the printed book on the mail, and even though I'm a bit sad that all those fancy meats on top of the illustration got lost on the final cover design, it's always very rewarding to see the final work on print. I love working on book covers like this :D

I also designed and knit this minimalist tweedy grey pair of mittens for my dear friend Ada. She got them just in time for her birthday and they fit her very well, I hope they keep her warm during the cold polish winter.

Pasta Puttanesca

Pasta puttanesca is my current food obsession, I swear I could eat this everyday. I simply put good virgin olive oil in a big pan, add the minced garlic, chilies, chopped olives and anchovies and cook them for a little while. Then I add the capers and halved cherry tomatoes, sometimes a splash of white wine, and when it's done, the oregano and the fresh basil. I add the cooked pasta, toss it all together with grated cheese and pepper and then, I eat. Bliss!

This reminds me I forgot to draw the chilies :)
