Sweater weather

It's finally starting to feel like fall around here. After all these months of constant sun and heat, I'm really looking forward to the chilly air, rainy days and hot cups of tea, I love sweater weather!

Cooking Club book cover

I recently illustrated this book cover for Simon & Schuster publishing. Unfortunately, they changed their minds in the last moment, but I had lots of fun doing this, I always enjoy the process of working in watercolors. Below there's a quick character study I did in gouache, which kida makes me thing that I like my roughs better, does it happen to anyone? Anyway, I took lots of progress photos that I'll be showing here soon, stay tuned!

Cute critters

A cute alpaca and a chihuahua live in my sketchbook. Alpacas are so much fun to draw, they're so cute it's ridiculous!

I want candy

I knit a new sweater in the middle of the August heat. It's a test knit for a pattern a friend is writing, and the colors I chose for the yoke remind me of candy. I can't wait for the cold temperatures to arrive, so I can finally wear it.
